About Alma

No matter which of the Alma establishments you choose, your plate invariably reflects Chef Wouter van Laarhoven’s signature. This is the responsibility of our ‘grey brigade’; the kitchen staff and waiters form a close knit team at Alma. The kitchen’s culinary creations are therefore always served in appropriate fashion at your table.

Bistro

Alma Bistro adds the finishing touch to Wouter and Malou’s gastronomic triptych, which offers something for everyone. Alma Bistro is set to open in the spring of 2024.
The Breda branch of Alma is spread over two floors and has a romantic courtyard garden and a convivial bar.

This prestigious building’s open kitchen offers one the opportunity to interact with our chefs. You are welcome here to enjoy an à la carte lunch, dinner or drinks from Thursday through Tuesday. Reservations are not compulsory, though perhaps a wise move if you want to be sure of a table

Culinary aspirations

Michelin-Star Chef Wouter van Laarhoven’s signature is clearly evident at Alma Bistro, vouching for top quality. “Our aim at Alma Bistro, is to once again make the very most of our particular skills. We make no concession whatsoever to our established high level of service. You will be pampered, no matter which branch of Alma you visit,” the congenial chef insists. He and his team previously saw to it that restaurants De Molen in Kaatsheuvel and Alma Fine Dining in Oisterwijk were awarded Michelen stars. Furthermore, Alma Bodega was also awarded a Bib Gourmand in 2023, an accolade that signifies exceptionally good food at acceptable prices.
