The hospitality of Alma

Fine dining with clear ambitions

Michelin-starred chef Wouter van Laarhoven feels very much at home in De Swaen’s historic venue. The chef and Malou Hagenaars, the restaurant’s hostess, present their guests with an unparalleled dining experience. Their ambition for Alma fine dining is to get Oisterwijk’s gourmet heart pumping again, as is fitting for De Lind’s majestic ambiance.

The hospitality of Alma

Only the very best

Wouter and Malou truly see eye to eye on gastronomic matters. Both of them want only the very best, they both pour their heart and soul into their work and both aim for perfection in everything they do. This catering couple have clear ambitions for Restaurant Alma: they want to give Oisterwijk the top-notch gourmet establishment that they believe it deserves.

Previously, Wouter was a chef at Michelin-starred restaurant De Molen in Kaatsheuvel before switching to Wynwood in Eindhoven, where Malou was working. Since November 2019, the couple has been working to make their dream come true in their home town, at a location that means a lot to them.

“Alma is located in the premises of Hotel-Restaurant De Swaen on De Lind in Oisterwijk, where Dutch celebrity chef Cas Spijkers would present his guests with heaven on a plate. It’s an honour to work here, and to share it with a woman who can read my culinary soul, understand it and agrees with it. Together, we’re building a future founded on history”, Wouter says.
